Fantastic fins is a derivative of a long family history of being in the pet and aquatic trade in Portsmouth. Initially my granddad started out with Hiscock's pet stores at 193 - 197 lake road in 1961. He did not have a fish house in this shop but did sell goldfish. In 1967 he expanded with a second shop at 200 Kingston road. This was an iconic corner shop that everybody knew. Both shops ran until 1972 when the lake road shop was pulled down to make way for the new road layout that we still use today. Granddad then bought a shop in osborne road, southsee.
I have used every bit of the knowledge I have inherited and experience I gathered over the many years I have worked in this trade to make FANTASTIC FINS one of the best aquatic shops to visit.
